Price

Alterations can be complex and vary depending on the dress. For the most accurate quote, we generally need to see your dress in person. However, you can email us photos for a preliminary estimate.

The type of fabric and construction will affect both the cost and timing of alterations. As a general guideline:

  • Hemming: Typically ranges from $100 to $250.
  • Taking in: Usually costs between $160 and $240.
  • Significant resizing: May exceed $320.

Please consider these potential alteration costs when budgeting for your dress, especially if it is a standard size.

How long do alterations take?

For simple alterations, please allow a minimum of two weeks. For resizing and more extensive changes, plan for 4-6 weeks. If your wedding is scheduled between October and March, kindly allow extra time due to our peak season during these months.

What is the process?

  • Book Your Appointment: Schedule your alterations appointment through our website or by calling us at 022 417 3136.

  • 1st Fitting: Bring your dress and shoes to our studio. We will assess the fit and determine the necessary alterations.

  • Quote and Deposit: After the appointment, we will provide a quote and time estimate, if not immediately. A 50% deposit is required to proceed with the alterations.

  • 2nd Fitting: If needed, we will schedule a second fitting once the alterations are complete for any final adjustments. Additional fittings may be required depending on the extent of the work.

  • Collection: Enjoy a final fitting to ensure the alterations are perfect before taking home your beautifully transformed dress!

What should I bring to my appointment?

Please bring your wedding shoes and any underwear you plan to wear with your dress. To avoid any potential stains, we recommend not wearing makeup, as it can easily transfer onto the dress and many bridal fabrics are challenging to spot clean. If you need to remove makeup before your fitting, we have makeup wipes available in our studio.
